Comfort quilts can bring peace and blessings to both the receiving person, and the person delivering. This happened recently, and a personal thank you was received for the work done by the Guild. Just very recently, during one week, five women’s quilts were picked up. May they receive the comfort meant for them through these quilts. Four were picked up and delivered by non members. We do appreciate their help. So far, our supply is meeting the demand.
We have a large number of quilts, 23 to be exact, all ready for quilting. Anyone who can help us would be greatly appreciated. Some are smaller than others, and could be done on domestic machines. Do you have a friend with a quilting machine who might help the Guild ? As soon as they are quilted, we will have quilts to bind. And there are always the Cuddle Quilt kits for the hospital. There are 50 of them ready to go. Each kit has the pieces, the instructions, the batt and the backing. All they need is YOU. Stop at our table, and see how you can help.
On display will be a quilt made of half square triangles. A simple idea for a Comfort Quilt, for child or adult.
Any member is welcome to help with our parade. Just jump up and help. If always the same members, then the paraders never get to sit back and watch the quilts go by.
