All Entries:All members of CKQG in good standing as of Feb 1st 2026, can enter quilts in the Quilt Show.
Enter only one item per registration form.
You are allowed to enter more than one item in a given category.
Decide if you want the item to be Judged and mark in the appropriate box on the entry form. All decisions of the judges are final.
Choosing the correct category & subcategory for your Entry
It is the responsibility of the entrant to choose the correct Category / sub category in which to enter their Quilt/item. It is recommended that members read through the following full list of CKQG 2026 Quilt Show categories . If your quilt contains more than one technique, choose the option which you want the judge to focus on.

Category Descriptions
A-C: Traditional: Machine Quilted – Table System
Domestic, hand-guided, where the machine is stationary and the quilt moves. Any size or style of table, any size or brand of machine, stitch-regulated or not, computerized or not.
A-C: Traditional: Machine Quilted – Track System
Frame or track system, where the quilt is stationary and the machine moves. Any size or style of frame, any size or brand of machine, stitch-regulated or not, computerized or not.
D: Art Quilt of any size
Any technique. Members are encouraged to enter items which are original in design and composition, but not limited to. An art quilt is an exploration of a concept or idea rather than the handing down of a “pattern”.The quilt maker experiments with textile manipulation, colour, texture and/or a diversity of mixed media. An art quilt often pushes quilt world boundaries.
E: Modern Quilt
The modern quilt is defined as: quilts that are functional, include bold colors, and are inspired by modern design. Minimalism, asymmetry, expansive negative space, and alternate grid work are often a part of modern quilt compositions. Also popular in modern quilts is improvisational piecing and solid fabrics.
F: Wearable Art
Also known as “art to wear”, refers to individually designed pieces of quilted handmade clothing. Clothing made from an original design, or pieces of clothing made from a pattern will be accepted in this category.
I: Guild Activities (display only)
This category showcases member participation in the wide range of activities offered by our busy guild. It reflects the opportunities offered by committees of the guild. Entries in this category are not going to be judged. If you want your guild activity to be judged within the show, select another category and choose ‘judge’, and enter the specific guild activity under pattern source.
J: Quilts on Loan (display only)
Included are quilts loaned for display In Memory of members.
Pattern Source
If applicable, credit must be given to author / designer, teacher ie.workshop, source of inspiration.
The Quilting
If item has not been quilted by the entrant, credit must be given to the hand or machine quilter.

Tell us why you decided to make this Quilt, and what inspired your colours, patterns, choices.
The QUILT
All quilts are defined as having 3 layers .. quilt top, batting and backing .. hand or machine quilted.
Quilts must be complete and in a clean condition and finished after June 2023.
Every quilt, large or small, must have a LABEL sewn on the back, which includes the Quilt’s name and your name. Also recommended to include the date finished, pattern source if applies, and any other information personal to you.
Every quilt, large or small, must have a hanging sleeve. See committee for CKQG requirements for hanging sleeve with instructions.
Members must ensure delivery and pick up of quilts via the church Chapel Hall (entrance by the east parking lot , single door entry) between 3 pm and 5pm Wednesday April 29,2026 and pick-up of quilts after the show May 2, 2026 between 5pm and 6pm.
All quilts are to be folded RIGHT-SIDE-OUT and placed in clear plastic bags … ONE Quilt per bag.
The large, heavy plastic zippered bedding bags will not be accepted.
The committee is solely responsible for placement of the quilt on the show floor.
